Quantum Mechanics I |
Recommended Books:
There are many, and for this course I recommend to study along the lecture
notes rather than with one specific text book. Use several different books
to go into more detail of something that interests you or that you would
like to have explained from different points of views.
Introductory books are
-
W. Greiner, `Quantum Mechanics-An Introduction', Springer (Berlin).
-
A. Rae, `Quantum Mechanics', IOP Publishing.
Books with more material
-
E. Merzbacher, `Quantum Mechanics', 3rd edition, J. Wiley (New York), 1998
(a very good book).
-
G. Baym, `Lectures on Quantum Mechanics', W. A. Benjamin (New York), 1969
(very good, but more advanced).
-
Landau/Lifshitz (from the series on theoretical physics; very reliable,
but not so easy).
